Graff DigiMaster
The Graff DigiMaster is for anyone who intends to make use of digital audio technology and still requires distribution of audio in the compact cassette format.
Many organisations are now becoming aware of the advantages of digital audio over analogue audio, particularly with regard to ease of editing, long term storage and audio quality. However, compact cassette is currently still a very dominant playback medium and is likely to remain so for some time. The Graff DigiMaster is designed to bridge this technology gap.
Based on personal computer (PC) technology, Graff have added specialised high speed digital to analogue conversion hardware and simple customised software which interfaces to standard cassette duplicators. In addition, customised hardware and software may be added to enable digital recording and editing, as well as the facility to burn a master CD for later duplication with GEM DigiTrax.
Since the master audio is stored in digital form, any number of copies can be made without degradation of the master normally associated with analogue master tapes.
- Record and edit masters.
- Store files.
- Burn master CD for separate CD duplication on GEM DigiTrax
- Duplicates digital audio from mono or stereo 'wave' files sampled at 44100Hz, 16bits per sample - other sampling rates possible.
- A separate 'wave' file, or silence, can be selected for each side of tape.
- Adjustable lead in silence for tapes with and without leader.
- Automatic alignment of side B start with side A end.
- Sides A and B copied simultaneously at 16x speed.
- Configurable to copy 'wave' files from any PC compatible media such as CD-ROM, hard disk, magneto optical, removable discs etc.
- Last copied digital audio stored on hard disk. Continue duplicating same audio at anytime without delay
- Connects to one or more Graff slaves. Connection to other slave copiers possible.
- Uses personal computer (PC) technology incorporating Graff designed hardware.
Compatible with all Graff expandable duplicators and current Sony, Telex and Otari audio cassette duplicators.
